After creating automation templates, you can attach them to specific trips or contacts. Once linked, the automation becomes active for that individual trip or contact and will execute according to its configured trigger and actions.
Apply an Automation to a Contact
Use this process to assign a contact automation, such as Birthday, Anniversary, or Passport Expiration reminders, to a specific contact.
Open the Contact
Navigate to Contacts.
Open the desired contact.
Select the Automations tab.
The contact's automation list is displayed.
Add an Automation
Click Add Automation.
Select From Template.
The Automation Templates window opens.
Select a Template
Browse the available templates.
Use the search field if needed.
Click the automation template you want to apply.
Triploft links the automation to the contact.
Verify the Automation
After linking, the automation appears in the automation list. The list displays:
Automation name
Trigger
Number of emails and tasks
Status
Last updated date
A confirmation message appears indicating that the automation has been linked successfully.

From the contact automation list, you can:
Search for automations
Filter automations
View automation details
Access additional actions from the Actions menu
Create a One-Off Contact Automation
One-off automations are created directly from a contact record and are intended for a single contact rather than being reused as a template.
Create the Automation
Open the contact.
Navigate to Automations.
Click Add Automation.
Select One-Off Automation.
The Create Automation window opens.
Configure the Automation
Enter an automation name.
Select Contact as the automation type.
Click Continue.
The automation is created and linked directly to the contact.
Configure Triggers and Actions
After creation:
Select a trigger.
Add email and/or task actions.
Configure the action settings.
Save the automation.
The automation runs only for the current contact.
Apply an Automation to a Trip
Use this process to assign trip-based automations, such as Trip Starts, Trip Ends, Payment Due, or Approval reminders, to a specific trip.
Open the Trip
Navigate to Trips.
Open the desired trip.
Select Automations from the left navigation menu.
The trip automation list is displayed.
Add an Automation
Click Add Automation.
Select From Template.
The Automation Templates window opens.
Select a Template
Browse available trip automation templates.
Use the search field to locate a template.
Select the desired automation.
Triploft links the automation to the trip.
Verify the Automation
The linked automation appears in the automation list. The list displays:
Automation name
Trigger
Number of emails and tasks
Status
Last updated date
A confirmation message appears when the automation has been successfully linked.

Create a One-Off Trip Automation
One-off trip automations are created directly within a trip and apply only to that specific trip.

Click Add Automation.

Enter an automation name.
Select Trip as the automation type.
Click Continue.
The automation is created and linked directly to the current trip.
Configure Triggers and Actions
After creation:
Select a trip trigger.
Add email and/or task actions.
Configure action settings.
Save the automation.
The automation will execute only for the selected trip.
