The fastest way to use a workflow on a single trip or contact is to apply it directly from that record. This is the manual, one-record path. Auto-apply and bulk apply are covered in Create and Manage Workflows.
Find the Add Workflow button
Open the trip or contact, then go to either its Tasks tab or its Automations tab. Both show an Add Workflow button in the toolbar.
Pick a workflow template
Click Add Workflow. A dialog opens showing your workflow templates under My templates.
Use Search to narrow the list. Each row shows the workflow's name, how many automations and tasks it contains, and when it was last updated.
Click a row to apply it. There's no separate confirm step, so clicking applies it immediately.
What happens immediately
TripLoft creates the workflow's bundled tasks and links its bundled automations onto that record, the same as if you'd added each one by hand. A confirmation toast tells you how many of each. The new tasks appear on the Tasks tab and the linked automations on the Automations tab right away.
A workflow can only be applied once to the same record. Trying to add one that's already been applied is blocked with an error rather than creating everything twice.
Good to know: The automations a workflow creates on a record are independent copies from that point on, the same as any automation applied directly. Later edits to the automation template don't reach them. See Automation Warnings and Edge Cases.
Why can't I apply this workflow?
The Add Workflow button is disabled if you only have view access to the trip or contact, with a tooltip explaining why. You need edit access on the record before you can apply a workflow to it.
