What Smart Import does

When you upload an itinerary PDF, TripLoft automatically:

  • Parses the itinerary content

  • Identifies key trip components such as flights, lodging, transfers, and activities

  • Maps each item to the correct proposal section

  • Pre-fills dates (& allows you to modify), descriptions, and details where available

You stay in control - nothing is added without review.

How Smart Import works

Step 1: Upload your itinerary PDF

From within a proposal, click Smart Import and upload your itinerary PDF.

At this time, Smart Import supports PDF uploads only.

Step 2: Review the parsed trip details

Once the PDF is processed, TripLoft shows you a preview of the extracted components.

Here you can:

  • Review flights, hotels, transfers, and activities

  • Edit dates to match the trip dates you are planning

  • Remove anything you don’t want to include

This review step ensures accuracy before anything is added to your proposal.

Note: Some details may require manual adjustment, depending on the PDF format

Step 3: Add items to your proposal

When you’re ready, add the reviewed items to your proposal.

Each component is added as a native TripLoft trip item - fully editable, reorderable, and customizable. From here, you can:

  • Adjust pricing

  • Assign rooms or categories

  • Add options or upgrades

  • Reorder sections

  • Customize the proposal layout and visuals

  • Add other items if you want to, on top of the imported itinerary

Your proposal is now ready to be shared as a polished, professional experience.

Best practices

  • Use clear, well-formatted itinerary PDFs for best results

  • Review all imported items before adding them to the proposal

  • Treat Smart Import as a starting point - refine and personalize before sharing with clients
