A trip is the central workspace for managing a client's travel plans in TripLoft. Everything related to a trip, including travelers, proposals, bookings, payments, documents, tasks, and communication, lives inside a single trip record.

The Trip Page
When you open a trip, you'll see three main areas:
Trip Header - Displays the trip name, owner, dates, status, and cover image.
Left Navigation - Provides access to all trip-related tabs and features.
Content Area - Displays the contents of the selected tab.
By default, the Overview tab is selected when a trip is opened.

The cover image can be uploaded when creating a trip and updated later from Settings.
Trip Details
Each trip includes a name, duration, type, and status that help define and organize it.
Trip Name
Used for both internal reference and client-facing materials.
Trip Duration
Trip duration can be configured using either:
Start Date and End Date
Number of Days
You can switch between these options at any time.
Trip Type
âTrips can be created as either:
Regular Trip - Standard trip planning workflow.
Group Trip - Includes additional features such as subtrips, inventory management, and landing pages.
Trip Status
Trip status reflects where a trip is in its lifecycle. Available statuses include:
Draft
Planning
Booked
Paid
Traveled
Canceled
Archived
Coming Soon: Travel advisors will be able to customize trip statuses to match their own workflow.
Navigation
The left navigation is organized into three groups, making it easy to access different parts of a trip.
General
The primary workspace for building and managing a trip.
Overview - View high-level trip information.
Travelers - Manage everyone traveling on the trip.
Proposals - Build and share proposal options.
Forms - Send and collect trip forms.
Tasks - Track trip-related tasks.
Finances
Manage bookings, payments, and insurance.
Bookings - Track booking confirmations.
Payments - Manage invoices, payments, and authorizations.
Insurance - Add and manage travel insurance.

Access supporting tools and trip information.
Messages - Send and review client communication.
Documents - Store trip-related files.
Notes - Capture internal notes.
Automations - View automations running on the trip.
Activity - Review a chronological activity log.
